Basic Facts
The Pakistani flag consists of a cresent and a star. There are two colors in the flag. The green color
represents the Muslim majority and the white color represents the minorities in Pakistan. The cresent is
the symbol of progress, and the star represents light and knowledge.

The Pakistani flag was designed by Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. It was presented
for approval on the meeting of Constituent Assembly of Pakistan on August 11, 1947 by the first
Prime Minister of Pakistan Liaquat Ali Khan
������� The National Anthem was approved by the Government of Pakistan in August 1954. The Anthem was written by Abdul Asar Hafeez Jullundhri; while the tune has been composed by Ahmed G.Chagla.
